Cafe Nineteen is a lovely, family run, independent cafe which had been let down by sign fitters after their previous sign came loose and blew off. To help them rest easy, the signage was painted directly onto the substrate so there was no chance of it falling off and we’re all thrilled with how it turned out.
It’s a classic British cafe nestled in the quant Midlands town of Sileby, which has lots of traditional architectural features on the surrounding buildings and so we wanted to bring the same sense of history to what is a relatively modern construction. Therefore, all lettering was hand drawn and inspired by early 20th century lettering and now it fits in so well that it’s difficult to remember it what it looked like without it.
