Green Meadows

Hand painted colourful mural designed using lettering and images, created for the Green Meadows community project in Nottingham

This mural project was in partnership with the Green Meadows Project and was painted to promote the running of free workshops and talks being offered to empower residents of the Meadows (Nottingham) so as to try to tackle climate change and the effects of it on a global scale and also on an individual scale.

My design was based on a loose brief, a provided motto, as well as a selection of visual references sent in by members of the local community. It showcases the type of insulation that they’re helping people install on their own houses and therefore required using a breathable and environmentally friendly lime silicate paint.

Having my design picked by public and judge voting has been such an honour, especially having it happen in my hometown! It feels amazing to have left a mark in the city and it was such a nice place to do it.

During the two weeks of painting everyone was super engaging, up for a chat, and fully supportive of the artwork!
